The art of dance might get more popular in our nation’s capital thanks to President Obama. On Friday night, Obama was joined by our First Lady and their daughters at the District’s Kennedy Center for a performance by the world renowned Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, according to the Associated Press. In the midst of working out our country’s economic stimulus plan, the First Family enjoyed the dynamic dance moves of the historic company as they performed to a blend of jazz, blues and the violin. The Obamas received a warm welcome when they arrived with Attorney General Eric Holder, his wife Sharon Malone, D.C. Mayor Adrian Fenty and his wife, Michelle. —BB
