"It was nice to be able to talk to female students and professors about science and logic because that’s just such a man’s world," she says.
We’re not sure what we were doing as teenagers, but we’re pretty sure it wasn’t nearly as cool as all the things Willow Smith takes on.
Not only is Willow a singer and Chanel brand ambassador, but she’s also a 15-year-old teacher, kind of. The daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith hosts underground quantum-mechanics classes and is studying how to produce songs from mathematical equations.
The teen tells Teen Vogue that she’s a STEM nerd with her sights set on the scientific community. She even hopped on a plane right after Paris Fashion Week to take a tour of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. “It was nice to be able to talk to female students and professors about science and logic because that’s just such a man’s world.” Willow’s interest is in “changing perceptions about women and girls of color in spaces where they are underrepresented.”
Willow is on a path all her own and we’re excited to see where it takes her.
