Coffee Talk: Timbaland and Wife Call Off Their Divorce

Happy Thursday! Take a look at what’s on our radar this morning:

Famed music producer Timbaland is calling off his divorce from his wife Monique Mosley. This time last year, the couple was on their way to court with Mosley demanding money for child support, private school tuition, vacations, life insurance, and alimony. But as of last week, the couple has reportedly dismissed their divorce claim. There’s no word yet on what triggered their initial separation, or on what’s caused their reconciliation. Timbaland has been posting photos of the pair smiling happily together on Instagram. It would appear as though all is well. [TMZ]

Kerry Washington is using fashion to fight against domestic violence. The Scandal star has teamed up with the Allstate Foundation to design a purple purse that will benefit the victims of domestic and financial abuse. “I thought, ‘This is an issue that I care about and I also care about a good handbag so, I’m in!'” she said. “Purple is a signature color of domestic violence and a purse is where a woman’s financial well-being lives. This bag represents taking back your purse strings in the face of abuse.” [People]

Entertainment Tonight has a new African-American correspondent. Nischelle Turner, an entertainment and pop culture enthusiast, has joined the ET staff and is already covering major entertainment stories like interviewing Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Anna Marie “Chickadee” Cardwell. Turner, who began her career in Evansville, Indiana in 1998, said she is happy and honored in an Instagram post. You go, girl! [ET Online]

black-ish is Wednesday night’s hilarious new show but Donald Trump doesn’t think the title is a laughing matter. “How is ABC Television allowed to have a show called ‘Blackish’? Can you imagine the furor of a show ‘Whiteish’! he tweeted a few weeks ago. Executive producer and star of the sitcom Anthony Anderson says Trump just doesn’t understand the message they’re trying to send. “There’s been a lack of a presence of a positive black family on network television. And that was one of the reasons we decided to create this show,” Anderson said. “He hasn’t seen the show. And I know Donald–we’re friendly. Had he seen the show he would realize this title has nothing to do with what he’s talking about.” Anderson said he was inspired to create the show when his 12-year-old son came home and said he didn’t feel Black. “I understand where he’s coming from,” Anderson said. “His Black experience as a 12-year-old was much different than the Black experience I had as a 12-year-old growing up in Compton.” [Access Hollywood]

James Earl Jones is being recognized for his voice talents. The Voice Arts Awards will honor Jones with the Icon Award along with other celebrities and cast members of his current Broadway play, You Can’t Take It With You. The Voice Arts Awards honors voiceover artists in animation, audiobook narration, movie trailers, video gaming, television, radio, creative direction, and casting.

Have you ever wondered what T-Pain would sound like without auto-tune? Now, here’s your chance! Watch T-Pain sing without his famous auto-tune below.
