• Rumors that Muhammad Ali is near death spread like wildfire yesterday. The boxing legend’s brother, Rahman, was quoted in a British tabloid saying Ali’s health was rapidly declining and that his time was coming to an end. However, Muhammad’s daughter May May told the Associated Press her father is doing just fine and that he was watching the Super Bowl. “He’s fine, in fact he was talking well this morning,” she said. “These rumors pop up every once in a while, but there’s nothing to them.” Ali, 71, suffers from Parkinson’s disease. • St. Sabina, a self described “African-American Catholic community of faith,” donated $15,000 of reward money for information leading to the killer of 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton. The Chicago teen was killed on January 29 in a park after finishing her exams. St. Sabina previously donated $10,000 to the cause. The total now stands at $40,000. [Grio]
• Michelle Obama was spotted grooving and dancing in her seat at a recent Musiq Soulchild concert in Washington, D.C. She was accompanied by a couple of her girlfriends and a few Secret Service guards. Soulchild tweeted a photo of himself and the First Lady after the show. [NY Post]
• Minutes after taking the stage at the Super Bowl, Beyoncé announced plans for a brand new world tour.
