Boxing legend Muhammad Ali was hospitalized this weekend with a mild case of pneumonia. In a statement, Ali’s spokesman says “his prognosis is good with a short hospital stay expected.” The 72-year-old was admitted to hospital in an undisclosed location in Louisville, KY. [Huffington Post]
President Obama took the opportunity to highlight female journalists at his last press conference of the year. “The fact is, there are many women from a variety of news organizations who day-in and day-out do the hard work of covering the President of the United States,” said White House Press Secretary Zeke Miller. Australian rapper Iggy Azalea got a thorough lesson in Hip Hop 101, courtesy of Q-Tip. It all started, or should we say continued, when rapper Azealia Banks bemoaned how white artists, like Iggy, appropriates Black culture, during an interview on NYC’s Hot 97.
