• Beyoncé was selected to perform the National Anthem at President Obama’s inauguration ceremony on January 21. She will be joined by Kelly Clarkson, who will perform “My Country ‘Tis of Thee,” and James Taylor, who will sing “America the Beautiful.” Yesterday, the White House announced that renowned Civil Rights figure Myrile Evers-Williams will deliver the invocation at the ceremony. • This year’s BET Honors is shaping up to be one action-packed evening. The network announced that Brandy, Erykah Badu, Alicia Keys and Ledisi will perform and that it will honor Halle Berry, Lisa Leslie and Chaka Khan. The program tapes on January 12 and will air February 11. [TGJ]
