- Hundreds gathered in Miami Florida for the Trayvon Martin Peace Rally to remember and pay their respects to Martin and his family on the second anniversary of his death. Jamie Foxx attended the rally and spoke about his dedication to remembering Trayvon. - Diahann Carroll has withdrawn from the upcoming Broadway revival of A Raisin in the Sun. Carroll’s role as the family matriarch, Lena Younger, would have been her return to Broadway after a 30-year hiatus. LaTanya Richardson Jackson, wife of actor Samuel Jackson, is set to replace her in the spring show. Her departure is said to be due to the vigorous rehearsal and performance schedule. - Lauryn Hill canceled a New Jersey show Friday after coming down with a stomach virus. The performance was rescheduled from a show that was canceled in December. Her rep made sure to inform fans that although she appeared fine during a Beatles tribute on The Late Show With David Letterman that aired Friday, she was indeed sick. “For clarity, her performance on The Late Show With David Letterman was pre-recorded on Thursday, not on Friday when it aired.” her rep said.
