There are no guarantees when it comes to primetime television.

Just four episodes after its premiere, ABC’s “Charlie’s Angels,” starring Annie Ilonzeh (the first Black angel), has been canceled.

The show was given the ax after suffering low ratings three weeks in a row, reports the Hollywood Reporter.

The remaining four episodes of the show will air. This comes weeks after NBC’s “Playboy Club,” another primetime show that featured a Black actress — Naturi Naughton — was canned.

In an interview with ESSENCE.com, Ilonzeh said working on the show was “an honor.”
