Usher founded the New Look Foundation in 2006 to help inner-city youth achieve their dreams. He recently hosted a youth leadership conference where 500 youth from around the world were brought to Atlanta for a weekend of leadership mentoring.

Rihanna has partnered with UNICEF to spread the message of the lack of clean water across the globe. She will bottle her own tap water for a sweepstakes benefiting the UNICEF Tap Project.

Shaquille O’Neal

Shaquille O’Neal is also working with the UNICEF Tap Project to provide clean water for millions of children globally.

Will Smith is also supporting UNICEF to help advocate for clean water across the globe as part of the UNICEF Tap Project.

Ne-Yo is working to help the Japanese victims of the tsunami and earthquake by selling wristbands and t-shirts inscribed with “Our prayers are with Japan” at his concerts.

Sheryl Lee Ralph created The Diva Foundation to help raise awareness and help fund HIV/AIDS prevention. On October 9th, Sheryl threw her 20th annual “Divas Simply Singing” fundraiser for the cause.

Jennifer Hudson is joining forces with Weight Watchers’ “Lose for Good” campaign to help fight world hunger.

Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.i.am is giving back by launching a mortgage relief fund called i.am.home which offers financial assistance to homeowners.

The Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation is teaming up with Sherri Shepherd for their first “Girls Who Rule the World Mentoring Weekend,” on October 22-24 in Atlanta, GA.

Oprah’s charitable reach extends to Africa, where her Angel Network has created the Seven Fountains Primary School in South Africa, provided $1 million in school supplies to impoverished students, and provides books to needy kids in countries such as Russia and China.

The “Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation” is dedicated to giving disadvantaged young people in America the opportunity to practice and appreciate art.

Along with her role as spokesmodel for her Queen Collection cosmetics line, Queen Latifah joined CoverGirl’s Clean Makeup for Clean Water campaign earlier this year. The organization focuses on providing clean, drinking water to under served communities.  The cosmetic giant has also pledged to donate $500,000 to the Children’s Safe Drinking Water charity.

In 2005, Wyclef created Yele Haiti. Its goal is to help folks through projects that will essentially allow Haitians to help themselves through education, the arts, food distribution and emergency relief.

Recently, the supermodel’s charity Fashion for Relief teamed up with Dolce & Gabbana to create a limited edition collection of tee-shirts that celebrate Campbell’s 25 years in modeling. All proceeds go to the relief effort in Haiti.

Alicia Keys’ Keep a Child Alive foundation provides care and support for those affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa. Just recently, the organization’s 2010 Black Ball gathered some serious star power who help contribute to the cause.
