.@BillClinton to protesters: You’re “defending the people who kill the lives you say matter” https://t.co/fZV8jo9Xnk https://t.co/puW4Q9k3KD

At a campaign rally for his wife, former President Bill Clinton didn’t help her cause in trying to secure the Black vote. Clinton and Black Lives Matter protestors got into a heated exchange of words in which the attendees questioned the anti-crime legislature and welfare reform put into law during his time in office. The 42nd President’s rebuttal was simply blasphemous beyond words. Here’s What Hillary Clinton Has to Say About Why Black Americans Should Trust Her “I don’t know how you would characterize the gang leaders who got 13-year-old kids hopped up on crack and sent them out onto the street to murder other African-American children,” Clinton said. “Maybe you thought they were good citizens …. You are defending the people who kill the lives you say matter. Tell the truth. You are defending the people who cause young people to go out and take guns.” Both Bill and Hillary have faced their fair share of scrutiny over the tears about their impact on Black communities. Many protestors say Clinton’s 1994 bill put a high number of African Americans in prison for nonviolent offenses at a unfair rate. Clinton defended his passing of the law during the event in which he said, “I talked to a lot of African-American groups. They thought Black lives matter. They said take this bill, because our kids are being shot in the street by gangs. We have 13-year-old kids planning their own funerals.” Following his remarks, Clinton was trending on Twitter for quite some time where many users took offense to his commentary.

The small drug users who were diseased and locked away deserve it? Bill Clinton u owe the black community and black lives matter an apology

How is Bill Clinton gonna talk about Black Lives Matter like Rwanda didn’t happen under his silent watch?

— Melech E. M. Thomas (@MelechThomas) April 7, 2016

Bill Clinton dismissed both the impact of the crime bill & doubled down on defending language that even Hillary has distanced herself from.

— deray mckesson (@deray) April 7, 2016

Bill Clinton not only justified Hillary Clinton’s superpredator language, but he also tried to dismiss BLM as only fighting for murderers…

— Benjamin Dixon (@TheBpDShow) April 7, 2016

Well well well Bill Clinton has reminded y’all who he is.

— Prison Culture (@prisonculture) April 7, 2016

Bill Clinton’s comments don’t surprise me at all. Hillary already cleaned up the black vote in the south so now he can tell their truth.
