Beyoncé’s got a new look!
The Lemonade singer has been sporting ombre blonde box braids —similar to the style she wore in the “Daddy Lessons” music video— recently. Down past her waist, the gorgeous braids show off her growing roots.
But because she’s Beyoncé, these same braids are a sign of something bigger to come. Fans are now thinking that her new hair means new music is on the way.
The idea is that because she’s in New Orleans, the place where her mother’s family hails from and the center of her previous album —in addition to the convenience of braids when working— that new music is coming soon.
Friday morning, Eminem released a new Rick Rubin-produced song featuring Beyoncé titled, “Walk On Water” off his first album in four years. She also put out “Mi Gente” in September for hurricane relief efforts.
Beyoncé has been in New Orleans this week with sister, Solange and her husband JAY-Z. The three were spotted in the Big Easy hanging out and even made a stop by the historic Dooky Chase restaurant, that played a central role in the civil rights movement.
JAY-Z had a concert in the city on Thursday night, and it’s been rumored that Beyoncé’s friend and tennis champion, Serena Williams, is getting married in the city soon. So there are several reasons why Queen Bey could be in town.
