The network just added Beyonce to its list of performers. Bey’s performance will be aired during the awards show via satellite, since she’ll be taking the stage at London’s Glastonbury Festival. The “Run the World” singer won’t be bringing along Sasha Fierce, but she will definitely bring the heat!
Kelly Rowland will also appear to perform her #1 single, “Motivation,” alongside rapper Lil Wayne.
There will be a few of our favorite ESSENCE Music Festival headliners at the awards show, including Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott and Trey Songz. Alicia Keys and Chris Brown will perform as well, and Patti LaBelle will be in attendance as this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.
