Aretha Franklin Honored at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Aretha Franklin was honored this past week as the 16th Annual Music Master!

Aretha Franklin, the Queen of Soul, was honored this past week during a week-long series showcasing her music.

The series, “Lady of Soul: The Life and Music of Aretha Franklin” took place in Cleveland at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum, which honored her as a Music Master.

Over the weekend, Franklin received a ceremonial key to the City of Cleveland from Mayor Frank Jackson.

The week ended with her being honored at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. During the three-hour celebration singers Lauryn Hill, Chaka Khan, Ronald Isley of The Isley Brothers, and others paid tribute to the 69-year-old legend.
