Don’t get on the bad side of civil rights activist Reverend Al Sharpton. He recently organized a group of about 30 demonstrators outside the Manhattan penthouse of accused con artist Bernard Madoff’s Manhattan penthouse. Citing equal justice for the rich and poor, Sharpton believes that it’s unfair for Madoff to enjoy his freedom while those without access to top legal representation have to sit in jail pending their trial dates, according to Reuters. Madoff was arrested last December for allegedly scheming $50 billion from investors. He is currently under house arrest and 24-hour surveillance.—WLW
