A small-business owner turned hopeful politician, Vanessa Enoch wears many hats, having worked as a college professor and as a department chair and dean of students for almost two decades. A public policy and business consultant, she has pushed tirelessly for social justice and human rights. One of her main focuses has been the condition of Ohio’s prisons, which she believes are filled with a disproportionate number of minority inmates, as well as folks who are grappling with poverty or mental illness. To that end, among the many talking points on her platform is the push to end mass incarceration and focus on bringing an end to the opioid crisis.
