: Stephany Rose Spaulding
: Inspired by the contentious 2016 elections, Stephany Rose Spaulding decided to run for Congress in her adopted home of Colorado after attending the Women’s March in Washington, D.C..
Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago, Spaulding moved to the Centennial State after accepting a position at the University of Colorado as a tenured associate professor of Women’s and Ethnic Studies. A graduate of Clark Atlanta University and a licensed minister, Spaulding lives her life by the Biblical philosophy to “do justice, love mercy and walk humbly with our God.” If elected this fall, Spaulding has promised to fight for healthcare for all, public education, affordable housing, economic empowerment, and common sense gun reform. A newcomer to politics, Spaulding has been endorsed by several prominent Democrats
, including Senator Cory Booker and Congresswoman Barbara Lee.
