The very first time Will laid eyes on Angel, he spotted her in passing on campus at Northern Illinois University. She didn’t notice him back then, but he vividly remembers being mesmerized by her beautiful face. Neither of them knew it at the time, but they were destined to be husband and wife. Three years later, two of their closest friends tied the knot, and both Will and Angel were in the bridal party. At the rehearsal, Will said to the groom, “Hey, that’s the girl from Northern!” He gave her a compliment that day, but Angel still didn’t take notice to her secret admirer. Fast forward another four years, to a random party Angel’s friend was attending. While there, she texts Angel to tell her Will was there and asking about her. Angel barely remembered him, and she was hesitant to let her friends give out here number. It took days of persuasion on her friend’s part, but Angel finally caved and gave her the green light to introduce them. “He called me on August 5, 2009,” recalls Angel. “That was the moment that changed my life forever!” He promised her then he would be someone she’d never forget again, and he made good on that promise.
Surprise, Surprise!
When Angel planned a romantic surprise birthday weekend in Gatlinburg, Tennesse for her love Will, she hadn’t a clue that she’d be the one in for the real shock. The entire way to Gatlinburg, he held her hand in the car, and she just knew it was going to be a romantic weekend to remember. After getting settled in to the their cabin, they went to a restaurant for dinner. When the waiter walked over to their table, Will handed him the camera and said, “Can you take a picture of us?” Just then, he got up, walked over to Angel’s side of the booth, got down on bended knee and popped the question. “I immediately began to cry,” says Angel. “I wrapped my arms around his neck and said ‘yes’ while the waiter snapped away. We will cherish those photos forever!” A year later, the happy couple tied the knot in a romantic all-white ceremony to be remembered. Share their love!
