The couple tied the knot on October 16, 2010 in a classic, fun celebration in Hartford, Connecticut.
Tisa found her Maggie Sottero gown at Mariella’s Creations in Rocky Hill, CT. The gathered fabric on the sides gives it an extra romantic feel.
Tisa wore aquamarine-toned shoes down the aisle as her something blue.
Instead of getting a stylist, Tisa did her own hair. She had a makeup artist from Bobbi Brown do her makeup.
Tisa incorporated peacock feathers into her wedding here and there. She even slipped on into her garter belt.
Adam stood out from his guys in a white vest.
The guys goof off before heading to the church.
“She’s definitely smart, she’s witty, she’s definitely a good mother and she’s a self-motivated person,” Adam says of his bride. “She’s a go getter. Her favorite song is Destiny Child’s ‘Independent Woman.’”

Michelle Duthrie from Innovative Floral and Event Designs in Glastonbury CT added peacock feathers to the floral bouquets in the church.

The newlyweds’ cute daughter and god daughter were flower girls in the wedding.
“Coming down the aisle, the door opening and seeing all of our family and friends, seeing Adam, seeing our preacher and our daughter — I will visually never forget that view,” Tisa beams.
Tisa teared up as she and Adam dedicated their lives to each other.
The couple sealed their matrimony by jumping the broom.
“He’s a clown,” Tisa says of her new hubby. “he makes me laugh a lot.”
“I never expected the day to go perfectly, but it seriously went perfectly,” Tisa remembers.
Strategically placed candles gave the reception an intimate feel.
The newlyweds’ wedding cake, by Creative Cakes by Donna, was gorgeous and tasty too, with a layer of chocolate cake with chambord mousse and fresh raspberries and a layer of lemon with lemon mousse and fresh raspberries.
“She’s a very caring and nurturing person,” Adam gushes. “That shines through the most.”
“When I talked to my mom about Tisa’s characteristics, she pulled me aside and told me if I messed this one up she would kick my butt.”
Tisa’s father was filled with pride as he danced with his baby girl on her wedding day.
Tisa and Adam danced their first dance to “Always and Forever” by Luther Vandross.
Adam surprised his bride when he dressed up as Spider Man to remove her garter.
“We already conquered sickness and health. I think the rest will be a piece of cake,” Adam says.
