“It felt amazing,” Myriam said. “My flowers were glorious, my dress fit perfectly and everything was absolutely magical.”
“I felt like I was getting ready to attend the Grammy’s and accept an award for Best Actor,” Pierre said. “I knew the look I wanted for my wedding. It was an amazing feeling knowing that this look came to fruition.”
“I saw a dress on Pinterest that I absolutely loved and turned out to be made by a designer in Australia and very expensive,” said Myriam. “I went to a few stores and I found a few that I liked a lot. I wanted a fitted style, not strapless, backless, elegant and fun. It took about 4 months and I was disappointed a few times because I felt like what I wanted was outside my budget. As soon as I put on the mermaid style gown, I was sold.”
“My something borrowed was my sister’s head piece and I knew I wanted to wear it with my hair styled in a 1920’s fashion,” the bride shared.
Dressed To Impress
Complete with a pocket square and a flower on the lapel, Pierre was great looking groom on his wedding day!

Daddy’s Little Girl

Here We Are
The bride shared that once she got to the altar she was surprised that Pierre was shedding a few tears. “I felt happy, blissfully happy. I was surprised that he was crying because he was adamant before the wedding that he never cries!,” she said.
“His wedding gift to me was a pair of ruby earring that matched my engagement ring and a 4 page letter,” Said the bride. “Before graduating high school I asked him to write me a 4 page letter (referenced from Aaliyah’s song) but he just wrote me a note on the back of his prom picture. So as my wedding gift, this man/my husband, wrote this 4 page letter as if we were back in high school. Wow!”
Here We Are
“I’m marrying the girl that I met in the 2nd grade,” Pierre shared of how he felt looking at Myriam at the altar. “What are the chances of that happening? I felt like the luckiest man in the world.”
With This Ring
“I can be myself around him,” said the bride of her groom. “Just basic, goofy, caustic me. I’m married to my best friend.”
“She’s intelligent, witty, loving, family-oriented, a problem-solver and everyone she comes across instantly falls in love with her character,” said the groom of his bride. “She’s a modern day renaissance woman.”
“I can be myself around him. Just basic, goofy, caustic me,” said the bride. “I’m married to my best friend.”
Just You And I
“I can be myself around her and not be judged,” the groom shared. “She allows me to lead and trusts that I will not steer her the wrong way nor jeopardize the foundation that we have built.”
“My husband’s cousin and best friend were the best man,” said the bride of her groom and his guys. “Groomsmen were 4 of his grade school friends.”
You Just Know
“My husband and I met in the 2nd grade,” said the bride. “By the 3rd grade I had a crush on him! We attended the same school and most of the same classes from 2nd grade through high school. I was the shy/book smart type and he was smart/popular/jock type. We remained friends even after high school into college and graduate school despite being in different schools and different states.”
Myriam and her girls were just divine on her big day!
It’s Been You
“I asked and received a lot of guidance from God,” said Pierre of choosing to make Myriam his wife. “I decided to make her my wife because I knew I would be able to build a strong foundation with her for years to come. I knew she was my soulmate and it took me all these years to recognize this.”
We Are One
“Yes, I knew in the back of my mind I would find true love and I knew I would be with her,” shared the groom. “I just didn’t know when. I knew I had a lot of growing up to do first. I was extremely blessed that our timing was impeccable.”
When I Met You
“I knew we would end up together in our youth or in our elder age because we were always friends, so yes!,” said the bride of finding true love with her groom.
All Of The Lights
“We wanted to make sure our heritage was featured in our wedding so we chose a Haitian song as our first dance song. ‘Lanmou Doudou’ by Jacques Sauveur Jean was our song.”
“Four tier of white buttercream, each layer was a different flavor: rum, vanilla, lemon and almond,” said the bride. “Edible gold dots covered the top layer and gradually descended and faded. Black magic roses cascaded from the bottom 3 layers. A modern ‘Mr & Mrs’ sign sat atop the cake.”
Then There’s Love
Such a sweet moment between the bride and groom!

“I think it was near 11th grade I knew he was the one I was going to marry,” said the bride so marry him she did. Congrats!
