Olamide admits she was initially a hard catch for Dotun. When he first asked her to be his girlfriend, she refused his offer. But, not to worry. It looks like his persistence really paid off!
Like quickly turned into love when Dotun and Olamide reunited later in life. “When we met as teenagers, I just knew I liked this very spunky girl,” says Dotun. “But when we met again as adults, I knew I was in a ton of trouble.”
Olamide describes her man as compassionate, responsible and loving. But what does she find sexiest about him, second to his heart, of course? “His dimples,” she tells us.

Dotun loves treating Olamide like a queen, and he’s good for surprising her even when there’s no special occasion. The bride-to-be says the best gift he ever gave her was a beautiful new car. Um, sounds like a keeper to us!
Olamide says Dotun is the best man for her because he knows her like the back of his hand. “He understands me completely,” she reveals. “He knows my moods, and he knows how I am feeling without me ever having to utter a word. Plus, he loves me unconditionally.”
Dotun teamed up with his future sister-in-law to get his special lady the perfect diamond ring. “I had no idea they worked on this together, and I didn’t expect it, since my sister lives in a different state,” she says.
One thing that made Dotun fall head over heels for Olamide was her full acceptance of the person he is. “She listened to me, didn’t judge me and didn’t ask me to be anyone other than who I am. It makes me want to give her the world, and then some.”
The happy couple are readying for a romantic honeymoon in St. Lucia, and three things you’ll definitely find in their suitcases are swimsuits, lingerie and a camera to capture all of their precious first moments as husband and wife. Have fun, you two!
“I’m so excited to wake up next to her and kiss her goodbye every morning as I head off to work,” says Dotun. “And, then to come home to her every night for the rest of my life.” The happy couple will celebrate their love in an “opulent lace” style wedding this fall that will include some hints of their Nigerian culture.
