“I wouldn’t say that I was looking for love when we met,” Lindsay explains. “But I knew that I didn’t want to just casually date.” She was supposed to move to California, but after she met her fiancé Ricky, she knew she was right at home in Atlanta.
“I was in complete shock and disbelief when he proposed,” says Lindsay. “It was as if we had never discussed it. Everything was a blur of bliss and joy.”
“He got me the ring I had picked out a year before,” says Lindsay. “He did, however, upgrade the diamond, which was so sweet!”
Lindsay and Ricky are the proud co-owners of an Atlanta hair salon.
“His parents have been accepting and welcoming since the very first time we met,” says Lindsay. “I get along with his Dad more than I do my own. He gets along really well with my parents too.”
“I think he chose to marry me because he knew that I was a great catch,” says Lindsay. “When we’re finally husband and wife, I can’t wait to build a family and a legacy.”
“I love that my future husband is such a good-hearted individual,” says Lindsay. “He sets such a great example for me, his friends and everyone he encounters. Our kids will have such a great role model.”
“If you’re spying on us on a Friday night, you’ll probably catch us laying up in bed watching a Red Box movie, cuddled up and eating our favorite treat, freshly baked Pillsbury chocolate chip cookies,” says the bride-to-be.
“The man I’m about to marry is one-of-a-kind and amazing,” boasts Lindsay. We love how much she loves him, and clearly, the feeling is mutual.
“I love the fact that he is such an individual thinker,” says Lindsay. “He doesn’t follow the trend or friends. I love how big his hands are and his perfect smile.”
“My friends say he makes me better,” says Lindsay. “I think they are very grateful for him. He balances me.”
“My mom respects Rick so much because she knows I’m in good hands,” says Lindsay.
“I’m far from perfect and he is so dedicated to making us work that he never gets fed up,” says Lindsay. “His patience is remarkable.”
Lindsay and Ricky are having a rustic style backyard wedding this October in Georgia. Their wedding colors will be navy and blush pink, and they plan to serve Jamaican cuisine and a southern treats dessert bar!
“We planned on going to Cape Town, South Africa for our honeymoon, but with the demands of us opening a new salon, we may have to push that back until the smoke clears,” says Lindsay.
