When a close friend coerced Assistant Director Julia, 28, to attend investigator Hamid’s, 30, house party, she was coincidentally helping to bring two soulmates together. Julia and Hamid quickly learned just how much they had in common. He agreed to loan her a crime novel (they both love them!) in exchange for her phone number. He called the very next day, and the rest, as they say, is history.
“Hamid surprised me with a five stone, round-cut ring,” says Julia. “He picked it out all by himself, and he did a great job.”
“I think he chose to marry me because I inspire him to become the best version of himself,” Julia says of her husband-to-be, Hamid.
“I can’t wait to wake up every morning next to him,” says Julia, who plans to wed her dream guy this March in Manhattan in a small, traditional wedding.
Julia tells us that Hamid is a hard-worker who is adventurous and very loveable.
“I love that Julia is supportive of everything I do,” says Hamid. “She is different from the other women I’ve dated. She is determined in life. Once she sets her mind on something, she will stop at nothing to achieve her goals and to ensure that the both of us are working at our full potential to reach that common goal together.”
“I love that my future husband is not afraid to show his emotions and a God fearing man,” Julia says proudly.
“My friends knew he was the one for me before I did,” Julia shares.
“My mom loves him,” Julia insists. “She says that he has great values and is the perfect man for me. She thinks we balance each other out.”
“Hamid understands and respects me,” says the bride-to-be. “He’s my best friend.”
Julia says their dog, Simba, was the best gift Hamid ever gave her, second to her engagement ring, of course. “He is the cutest mutt – half Dachshund and Lhasa Apso,” she says.
“Being able to start a family and wake up every morning next to the woman of my dreams is what I most look forward to about married life,” Hamid says.
“When we are not out trying a new restaurant or checking out a new event in NYC, you can find Julia and I, relaxing while watching TV, and playing with our dog, Simba,” happy groom-to-be Hamid tells us.

When Hamid proposed, Julia says, she just kept thinking, I can’t believe this is really happening. As they count down to “I do,” they’re both positive that they’ve found everything they need in each other.
