“I knew Tiffany was the one right away, but I didn’t want to admit it.,” says Antoine. “I was at a crossroad in my life and I was blessed to meet her. She was so beautiful and gracious. Our very first conversation was so easy and refreshing; she laughed at my jokes and even had a few of her own. Our first dates were timeless and I never wanted to let her go.”
“We had been talking about marriage for a while and we had even looked at rings together,” says Tiffany of the time before Antoine popped the question. “So, I was hoping the proposal was coming soon, but I didn’t know when. The day it happened he was talking about how important it was for us to take our time before moving forward, so I thought it might have been a while longer. He has since told me that he did that just to throw me off and keep it a surprise.”
“We both graduated from Howard University, although we attended at different times, and that commonality really helped us to feel even more comfortable with one another,” Tiffany explains. “I’ve always said that there’s something special about a Howard man and I think it’s so amazing that I am marrying one.”
“I really can’t remember who said I love you first,” says Tiffany. “I think we both felt it for a while before we actually verbalized it.”
Tiffany and Antoine donned their fraternity and sorority jackets to add a little fun to their collegiate engagement shoot.
“I knew Antoine was the one after our first argument,” says Tiffany. “I was sitting at home thinking it over, when he called and said, ‘The Bible says not to let the sun go down on your anger, we need to work through this.’ And, we did just that. In that moment I felt a peace in my spirit and knew that this was the man God made me for.”
“We took a class where we learned that we share the same primary love language which is ‘quality time,’” says the bride-to-be. “This made sense because we love being together, and have the best time even when we aren’t doing anything more than watching reality TV. Some of our favorite activities are traveling, eating out, bowling, and laser tag.”
When Antoine first met Tiffany he instantly thought she was “beautiful, classy and confident.”
“My friends think Antoine and I are alike in so many ways,” says Tiffany, who is happy to know that even those closest to her are convinced she’s found the perfect guy.
“My parents think Antoine is a good match for me,” says Tiffany. “My dad told him he was really happy I ended up with a guy like him and that he could see as a power couple. He also said he could see the expiration date on all my other relationships, but not this one.”
“Antoine has seen every side of me, including the bad and he loves me unconditionally,” says Tiffany. “I know without a doubt that he is the only person I want to experience the ups and downs of life with.”
“I love that Tiffany has a heart of gold,” says Antoine. “She is caring, loving, and sweet. I know that she always wants the best for me and for our relationship.”
“I fell in love with Tiffany’s ability to see the best in any situation and the pureness of her heart,” says Antoine. “I believe it’s a process and I continue to fall more in love with her each day.”
“The togetherness of marriage excites me and the blending of our love through our family growing is going to be awesome,” says Antoine.
“The sexiest part of Antoine’s body is his mind,” Tiffany gushes. “He is brilliant. I can over analyze a lot, so the way he problem solves and makes decisions is very sexy to me.”
“I love to go out to eat with Tiffany and just relax with her,” says Antoine. “We have a great time anywhere. I also love talking with her throughout my day.”
The lovebirds are tying the knot very soon. “The ceremony will be in Richmond, VA, which at the church Antoine grew up in,” says Tiffany. “The reception will be in Richmond as well.”
“Our wedding theme is elegant and fun,” Tiffany shares. “Our colors are royal purple and ‘green,’ which will be my new last name.”
“Antoine is loving, brilliant and strong,” insists Tiffany when asked to describe her future husband in three words or less.
When asked why she’s most excited to tie the knot, Tiffany gave one of the sweetest answers we’ve heard: “The comfort of knowing that I have found my forever and get to share my life with the man God made for me.”
