Jordan Burroughs, who makes his Olympic debut in London, is so ready to take home a medal, he’s using the Twitter handle @AllISeeIsGold. The 24-year-old is a Hodge Trophy winner and the fan favorite at this year’s Olympic games.

Wallace Spearmon
Hometown: Fayetteville, AR
First Sighting: Aug. 7th 6:50am EST/Men’s 200m

Family man Wallace Spearmon is following in his father’s footsteps. Dear old dad competed for the U.S. at the 1987 World Championships, and now, Spearmon is returning for his second visit to the Olympic Games. He’s expected to medal in the Men’s 200m race. If he looks familiar, you might recall Spearmon attempting to “run” on water during an episode of the popular show Mythbusters.

Cullen Jones

Hometown: Irvington, New Jersey
First Sighting: July 28th 6:50am EST/Men’s 100m

Swim champ Cullen Jones competed in the 2008 Summer Olympic Games and took home the gold in the 400 meter freestyle. As part of the American team, he holds the world record in the 4×100-meter freestyle relay (long course). He’s also currently the record holder in the 50 meter freestyle, and this year he will compete in the Men’s 50m Freestyle, Men’s 100m Freestyle, and Men’s 4×100m Freestyle Relay. We love his winning smile!

Michael Hunter joins the U.S. Men’s Olympic Boxing Team as a heavyweight contender. The handsome hunk credits his mom as his ongoing inspiration and is the son of late boxer Mike “Bounty” Hunter.

Twenty-two-year-old Texan Errol Spence discovered boxing while watching Oscar de La Hoya’s fight nights at home with his dad. During the first five years of his career, he earned an impressive three consecutive U.S. amateur welterweight championships. Look for him to shine in the Men’s Welterweight ring.

First Sighting: Aug. 1st 10:30am/Men’s Super Heavyweight

Boxing champ Dominic Breazeale is a knockout in more ways than one. The gorgeous former college football quarterback switched lanes mid-career and took off at full speed toward his new dream of becoming an Olympic gold medalist. Believe it or not, Breazeale actually started boxing in 2008, the year of the last Summer Olympic Games. This man means business.

This summer, track and field star Kerron Clement will represent the United States at the Olympics for the second time in his career. He has won numerous awards, including a gold medal at the 2008 Olympic games and third place at the 2012 trails. When he’s not on the track, Clement devotes his time to modeling and acting.

Ryan Bailey

Hometown: Portland, OR
First Sighting: Aug. 4th 5am EST/Men’s 100m

In June, 23-year-old Ryan Bailey finished third in the 100 meter race at the U.S Olympic track and field trails, securing a spot on USA’s 2012 summer Olympics team. He started running his sophomore year of high school and has overcome both homelessness and gang violence to make his dream come true. Standing at 6-foot-4, 180 pounds, Bailey has had an amazing season. Look out for this smile during the Men’s 100m and Men’s 4×100m Relay races.

Are you ready to go the distance with this gorgeous man, ladies? Meet track star Bernard Lagat. He competed in two Olympics for Kenya, but in the 2008 games he joined Team U.S.A. Middle distance races are his specialty, and he can always count on the support of his wife and children, who can be seen cheering him on from the bleachers at every meet.

Proven champ LaShawn Merritt won gold at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and 2009 World Championships. This year, he has his sights set on top honors in the Men’s 4×400m Relay and Men’s 400m races. Will you look at those arms? My, oh my!

The New York Knicks’ main man will join eleven other hoopers this week on the U.S. Men’s Olympic Basketball Team to take on the competition. The guys already beat out Great Britain in an exhibition game earlier this month, and we can’t wait to watch Melo work his magic on the court for Game 1.

Angelo Taylor is no stranger to Olympic gold: He’s the 2000 and 2008 gold medalist in the Men’s 400m hurdles. Taylor is another comeback kid to keep your eye on. In 2006, he was humbled when legal woes cost him his Nike sponsorship and he was forced to give up his lifestyle and renew his reputation. He says it’s only made him stronger.

At just 20-years-old, Trell Kimmons ran the fifth-fastest time in the world at the National Junior College Indoor Championship. Now, at age 27, he won first place at the 60-meter USA Indoor race, and this year at the Olympics, the bald and beautiful track star has our full attention as he goes for the gold.

Ashton Eaton

First Sighting: Aug. 8th 5:10am/Men’s Decathlon

Ashton Eaton broke three records during this year’s Olympic trails. On his first day, he made two world decathlon records in the long jump and 100-m race. Then, he went on to beat his own personal record in the 1,500-m run. His total decathlon score broke both the American and world records. (Yeah, baby!)

If you want a great story to root for at this year’s summer games, look no further. Rising Taekwondo star Terrence Jennings, 25, made headlines during the 2012 Olympic trials when he beat out legendary contender Mark Lopez for the spot on Team USA. “I watched a lot of ninja turtles; that was my big thing: every day after school," Jennings, who began the sport at the age of 12, tells NBC. “One day I was walking through the mall and they had an ad for taekwondo. I walked in, kicked and fell in love.”
