Eva Marcille is a hair chameleon like none other. Whether its floor-length box braids or a platinum blonde pixie cut, there’s pretty much no ‘do this beauty can’t pull off. But out of all the hair switch-ups she’s finessed, there’s none more powerful and personal to the model than her gorgeous honey-brown dreadlocks.

In an Instagram post, Marcille revealed that she’s three months into her locs journey and, so far, she’s loving it. She says her daughter Marley, who also has locs, is her ultimate HAIR-spiration. “My daughter Marley has been loc’d for almost 5 years and I’m just trying to get like her,” Marcille shares. “I love the freedom my locs give me.”

💫🌻 Three months in on my loc journey. I am absolutely in love. My daughter Marley has been loc’d for almost 5 years and I’m just trying to get like her. I love the freedom my locs give me. Hair is just hair but it is alive. It moves and sways as it feels on that day. Just let it be! Helps to polish up who I am, a Sunflower in human form🌻

Marcille has also come to look at the versatility of her hair differently, writing, “Hair is just hair but it is alive. It moves and sways as it feels on that day. Just let it be! Helps to polish up who I am, a Sunflower in human form.”

Marcille first debuted her permanently loc’d hair back in September, calling her style change a rebirth. LA hairstylists Ebony Riley and Erinn Courtney were the talented forces behind the transformation.

Since beginning her loc journey, the mom of three continues to push the envelope when it comes to hair. She turned heads at Cynthia Bailey and Mike Hill’s Atlanta wedding ceremony with a sky-high loc ponytail adorned with pearls.
