If we’re talking about the trends from New York Fashion Week, then we’re also talking about braids. For the spring-summer presentations, fashion house, Alice + Olivia sent models down the runway in braids bedazzled in prismatic pearls. Celebrity hairstylist, Ursula Stephens created bondage braids on the models at Maki Oh. And backstage at Ulla Johnson, hairstylist kept it pretty and playful with rope braids.
We also saw Laurent Philippon, work textiles into tresses to create fascinating fabric braids on the models at Jonathan Cohen.
But the runway wasn’t the only source of inspiration. Just outside the main events, ESSENCE captured the magical mane moments on the street. Below, check out all of the street style fashion slayers, and their mesmerizing braids.
