One of the best parts of planning a group getaway is mapping out which hotspots you and your crew plan to visit and what better inspiration for your ESSENCE Fest girls trip than the Flossy Posse?! While you might not be able to zip line over a huge crowd in the middle of the street, there ARE plenty of places that the FP actually went that you and your crew can visit too.

The Hyatt Regency Hotel
Remember the scene where the ladies returned from their wild night out and Malik (Kofi Siriboe) greeted Lisa (Jada Pinkett-Smith) with a rose? They were in the lobby of this hotel.

Whether you’re looking to hear great live music or end up in a dance off like the ladies did in the movie, Frenchman Street is the place you want to be. The hilarious scene in the movie was specifically filmed at Club Maison.
The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center
Not only is the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center the place to be for all the daytime festivities at ESSENCE Fest, it was also the backdrop for several scenes in the movie.
If you’ve ever taken a girls trip, then you already know the party starts as soon as you and your crew arrive at the airport and the Flossy Posse was no exception!
The cringe-worthy moment where Ryan (Regina Hall) came face-to-face with her husband’s mistress happened right on the ESSENCE Eats stage in the Convention Center.
In the movie, the ladies didn’t waste any time hitting Bourbon street to grab a few hand grenades and you’ll definitely want to do the same with your crew when you arrive for ESSENCE Fest!
Anyone who’s been to New Orleans will tell you that the carousel bar located in hotel Monteleone is a MUST! Even the Flossy Posse had to stop by for a drink, right before Dina (Tiffany Haddish) confronted Ryan’s (Regina Hall’s) husband….and his aunt.
The most unforgettable turn up moment in Girls Trip (you know, the one where their hallucinations took over the night) took place right at Harrah’s Casino.

When Regina Hall’s character Ryan finally delivered the keynote speech that brought everyone to their feet to close out the movie, she did it right from the ESSENCE Festival Empowerment stage located in the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, which you’ll definitely want to check out all 3 days of ESSENCE Fest weekend — trust us!
Who can forget when Larenz Tate’s character Julian invited the Flossy Posse out to come hear him play as part of Ne-Yo’s band? This scene was shot at the House of Blues.
