On Sunday morning, on their way to basketball camp in Thousand Oaks, California, Gianna Bryant, 13, and her father, Kobe Bryant, 41, died when their helicopter crashed in Calabasas, California, according to People.
According to initial reports, the plane was carrying a total of 5 people, the other names have yet to be confirmed.
Gianna, a rising basketball star, went viral earlier this month when a camera captured her father talking to her at a basketball game.
Celebrities and athletes expressed their condolences on social media after news of the tragedy broke.
