If there is one athlete that can sale a shoe, it’s award-winning ballerina Misty Copeland. Copeland has been a force with her skates, an inspiration to black women, and now a star in the Stuart Weitzman “Step Inside” Holiday Campaign. “On the inside, I am sensitive, powerful, loving, caring but I’m also a warrior. There is definitely an inner strength within me,” Copeland told ESSENCE.

The “Step Inside” campaign is also the companies first-holiday campaign and is a continuation of Stuart Weitzman’s dedication to celebrating strength in femininity and illustrating it through bold energy, movement, and dance. “People may see power and strength when they see me on stage or they see my muscles, but I hope that the message I’m sending to other women is that it’s OK to have a quiet inner power and strength,” says Copeland.

For the campaign, Copeland steps inside an SW shoebox wrapped in red ribbon and into a Stuart Weitzman Holiday 2019 Collection fantasy. Choreographed by Copeland herself, she twists and turns to demonstrate the comfort and ease of moving in SW shoes. She further proves the brand’s ethos of empowering women to conquer every step of their day by fashion, function and fit in each design.
