While the fashion industry is making positive strides to become more inclusive, Chromat has spearheaded that conversation for many years. The luxe swimwear company created a space and embedded in its mission that models of all identities, shapes, and sizes will represent their brand. For the third year in a row, Eddie Jarel Jones walked the runway this NYFW for Chromat. “I love Chromat, they’ve always been so supportive,” Jones told ESSENCE.
Jones is apart of the Legendary House of Garcon where she competes in balls walking in the category, “Butch Queen & Drag Runway.” Besides having a fierce walk (see below), Jones has partnered with brands like The Phluid Project, Baby Tress, and Pose FX. For NYFW, she took ESSENCE backstage at Chromat and let us in on her journey to fashion.
