Only days before the season 43 premiere, Saturday Night Live has added three new faces: Heidi Gardner, Chris Redd, and Luke Null. The trio steps into the vacancies left by the departures of Vanessa BayerSasheer Zamata, and Bobby Moynihan. Before we soon meet their Jacob the Bar Mitzvah Boy or Drunk Uncle, let’s get to know the latest additions a bit better. (Warning, some clips are NSFW.)

Chris Redd

Of the new featured players, Redd is the most high profile thanks to a scene-stealing performance in Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping, the 2016 mockumentary film from SNL alums The Lonely Island. The comedian starred as Hunter the Hungry, the prank-loving, friend-turned-rival of Andy Samberg’s Conner4Real.

In addition to Popstar and his stand-up career, Redd has popped up on Empire, Love, and Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later. He was most recently seen alongside Kathy Bates on the Netflix original series Disjointed.

Heidi Gardner

Gardner is best known for Crackle’s Bryan Cranston-led animated series SuperMansion, where she serves as a writer and voices a superhero cat named Cooch. The Groundlings alum, who also lent her voice to the Bratz animated series, has acting roles in two upcoming big screen comedies: Making Babies and Life of the Party, which counts SNL Emmy-winning guest star Melissa McCarthy as co-writer and star.

Luke Null

Landing on SNL is quite the rise for Null, whose only IMDb credit is a minor role in the 2011 film called The Heart: Final Pulse. Part of the comedy group Newport Hounds, the iO Chicago performer has showcased the ability to successfully mend music and comedy.

And he couldn’t be more excited for his new gig.

Hosted by Ryan Gosling and featuring JAY-Z as the musical guest, the SNL season premiere airs live Saturday coast-to-coast at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
