The singer made her debut solo performance at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards and it was a major highlight of the night.

Normani is unstoppable and her performance Monday night at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards was further proof the singer is set to be a household name.

What did she give us during her performance of “Motivation”? Choreography, vocals, aesthetics, purple velour plus an entrance that consisted of descending from a basketball hoop to a vibrant neon court. Not to mention her debut as a bonafide solo star.

The singer also took a moment to go solo for a quick dance and gymnastics break that I’m sure tons of people will spend the next few weeks trying to learn.

And later the singer, alongside 6lack, took home her first solo VMA for Best R&B Video for “Waves,” sharing the win on Twitter.
