During their visit to the ESSENCE office, we got the cast of BET’s The New Edition Story to help us settle a long-standing debate over the best New Edition song. While the debate still rages on in the office, the guys did reveal which of the beloved R&B group’s songs they love.
For Bryshere Y. Gray, who plays Michael Bivens, “Candy Girl” is a solid choice. Keith Powers and Luke James, aka Ronnie DeVoe and Johnny Gill, respectively, picked “Can You Stand The Rain.” Woody McClain, who portrays Bobby Brown, went with “You’re Not My Kind Of Girl.” And, Elijah Kelley, aka Ricky Bell, opted for “If It Isn’t Love.”
