Kevin Hart’s “fake reality show” The Real Husbands of Hollywood was picked up for a second season, BET announced.
The comedy starring Hart, Nick Cannon, Boris Kodjoe, Duane Martin, J.B. Smoove and Robin Thicke was a hit with viewers around the nation. According to BET’s president Stephen Hill, the decision to renew the comedy for another 12 episodes was a no-brainer.
“When we launched this series in January, we knew our audience would have as much fun watching it as we he had making it, and since it has been on the air, fans have voiced on social media that they want more,” said Hill. “So this was a pretty simple decision: ‘Hey! Let’s make more!'”
The season opened with over four million viewers and a season finale is set to air later this month.
The gang wasted no time and have already begun filming the first episode for the second season, Hart confirmed on Twitter yesterday. “Starting filming season 2 of RHOH today. We are taking this show 2 another level MITCHES,” he tweeted.
