Black Twitter watched Insecure as a collective family on Sunday Night and the reactions were everything you’d think they would be. Picking up right where it left off at the end of season 1, the HBO hit drama once again divided our timelines in the great #TeamIssa vs. #TeamLawrence debate. Moments before the premiere debuted, one thing was explicitly clear: the #LawrenceHive was in strong attendance to the Internet watch party happening on Twitter. Throughout the episode, men (and some women too) claimed their allegiance while rooting for Issa’s ex throughout all of his shady behavior, homelessness and alleged f*ckboy behavior.

Bringing Lawrence to life on the timeline, star Jay Ellis set out a hive call to the members of his tribe in preparation for the night.

No matter whose side you’re on, the return of Insecure had us all shook and the best part? We still have a whole season to go!
