Next is back with a brand new single, “Want It.”

Four years after the release of their single, “Leaving with Me,” and nearly 16 years after The Next Episode—their highly-anticipated 2014 album Next, Lies & Videotape was shelved—the group is giving fans a swoon-worthy R&B single. And, group members Terry “T-Low” Brown, Robert “R.L.” Huggar, and Raphael “Tweet” Brown are excited about what the future holds.

T Low told ESSENCE in a statement, “I’m glad to be back with a song like ‘Want It’ because I feel like we’re picking up exactly where we left off. The sound is true to NEXT, while also taking into consideration current musical trends.”

Member RL adds, “When I wrote the record, I wanted to place women in the drivers seat, empowering them and making them the aggressor. Men want to feel wanted and desired as well.”

The single, available on iTunes and Spotify, is the next chapter for the group and an opportunity to show fans that the NEXT they love continues to evolve while staying true to their roots.

Tweet adds, “Right now is the most exciting time for us.”
