Empire made its triumphant season two return last night, and its ratings did not disappoint.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the hit series drew in a whopping 16 million viewers between the ages of 18 and 49, the series’ second highest ratings ever (last season’s finale attracted an insane 17.6 million viewers).
Even crazier? A 30-second commercial spot during the premiere cost an advertiser an unbelievable $750,000—almost Super Bowl prices!
