Just after directing one of the biggest films in 2015, Ryan Coogler is set to work on another major project.
Complex reports that the 29-year-old is set to direct the upcoming Marvel film, Black Panther.
Marvel Studios President Kevin Fiege confirmed Coogler’s involvement in an interview with Empire Magazine, stating that the production will feature “a whole new setting and culture to explore” along with “an unbelievable lead character.”
The cast, which will be predominately black, includes Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa who in the action led film struggles while focusing on family and understanding what it means to be a king.
