Both Atlanta and Black-ish stars Donald Glover and Anthony Anderson received noms in the Lead Actor in a Comedy Series category, while Glover’s co-star on the FX series, Brian Tyree Henry, received recognition for his supporting role.

The Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category includes multi-nominees Issa Rae and Tracee Ellis Ross. And, Zazie Beetz landed her first nomination for her supporting role in Atlanta. Leslie Jones also landed a nomination for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her hilarious work on Saturday Night Live. And speaking of SNL, Tiffany Haddish earned a nomination for hosting the show earlier this year. Haddish, like the rest of us, was elated at the news.

There’s stiff competition in the drama categories as well. This Is Us star Sterling K. Brown received another nomination for his stellar performance as Randall Pearson and Thandie Newton earned a supporting nom for her role as Maeve in Westworld.

Limited series nominees include Regina King for Netflix’s Seven Seconds, Letitia Wright for Black Mirror’s “Black Museum,” and John Legend for NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, which, if he wins, could land Legend the coveted EGOT.

The 2018 Primetime Emmy Awards air Monday, Sept. 17 on NBC.
