Miss Congo didn’t expect her first-place win at the Miss Africa 2018 pageant to end as it did when her wig unexpectedly caught on fire. According to Nigeria’s Daily Post, Miss Congo’s Dorcas Kasinde’shair caught on fire from the sparks coming from the celebratory fireworks that were released during the annual pageant held in Cross River State in Nigeria. https://twitter.com/AfricaFactsZone/status/1078674738967429120 In a viral video of the moment, Kasinde can be seen crying after she is announced as the winner, and her afro wig begins to light up. A man quickly jumps into action to help put out the fire. “For those asking, She is fine… the fire was put out immediately, she wore her crown and carried on like a true queen,” one Twitter user who captured the moment said.
