Tyrese has been in the news a lot lately for his bizarre behavior on social media. Now his ex-wife, Norma Gibson, is requesting that the singer receive a mental evaluation.
TMZ reports that the singer’s ex believes it is “essential” the judge demand a mental evaluation. Attorney Aleen Khanjian referenced Tyrese’s recent meltdown, which TMZ shared in early November. Khanjian also stated that a court-appointed evaluator referred to the singer as mentally ill.
Tyrese has blamed medication on his recent behavior, writing on Instagram, “FYI contrary to false reports and narrative ! don’t have a mental illness, it was meds that was suggested to deal with the trauma of losing my daughter this way…. everything just changed.”
The singer has since made his Instagram private.
Gibson is seeking a permanent restraining order against the singer, who she says violated the temporary order by sharing videos about her and their daughter, Shayla, on social media.
