Regina King was nearly decapitated—we’re being dramatic, we know!— during a New York Knicks game Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden. Going after a loose ball, Sixers player Joel Embiid leapt into the crowd, where he came pretty close to giving King a kick to the head. But there’s no bad blood between the two. King tweeted after the game, “Yoooo. Thank you God and @JoelEmbiid for your athletic abilities. Crisis averted.” We thank God too that an icon is safe and all is well. Still, the Sixers won, 126-111.
