Fans of ABC’s The Bachelor have already decided which single lady will earn their final rose, and in a surprising twist, it’s a Black woman. Dallas lawyer Rachel Lindsay, 31, is a fan favorite on the current season, and she’s already gotten farther along on the show (which has been consistently criticized for a lack of diversity throughout its 21 seasons on air) than most women of color ever have. From her dazzling smile to her kind, intelligent demeanor, we can totally see why current bachelor Nick Viall is hooked on Lindsay’s Black girl magic. Anyone who watched this week’s episode can clearly see that these two have genuine chemistry. 1. She’s a Dallas native. Rachel an alumna of the University of Texas. Holding a degree in Kinesiology and Sports Management, she attended Marquette University for Law School and passed the bar exam on the very first try. She’s brains and beauty! via GIPHY 2. She made The Bachelor history. Rachel became the first Black contestant in The Bachelor or The Bachelorette history to earn a first impression rose. Recipients of the rose mark those who have made an early impression as a front runner in the competition. via GIPHY Watch her history making clip here. 3. She could be the first Black Bachelorette. Over the course of the The Bachelor’s 21 seasons and 12 seasons of The Bachelorette, the cast has been notoriously white. With Rachel’s charm and audience appeal, Rachel could become the first in series history to lead the show on love. Former Bachelor Ben Higgins seems to agree as well.

Rachel will either be with @viallnicholas28 in the end or she will be the next #bachelorette #TheBachelor

Among her fellow contestant’s vying for the 36-year-old Bachelor’s heart, the 31-year-old is the eldest amongst her peers. via GIPHY 5. She and Bachelor Nick Viall have insane chemistry. From receiving the first impression rose to their getaway in New Orleans, it’s obvious that Rachel has a special place in Nick’s heart, he even said so himself. “I love a woman who knows how to have a great conversation and just have a strong personality and a great smile. She certainly has all of those.” via GIPHY 6. She has the viewers hearts. Week after week, millions tune into the hit ABC show and the Twitter timeline throws its support behind the possiblity of a Nick and Rachel relationship.
