Today, the long awaited trailer for Nelson Mandela’s biopic, Long Walk to Freedom, appeared across the Internet. The 74-second clip showcases Mandela, played by Idris Elba, walking across an open field surrounded by kids playing. During the poignant moments Mandela says, “People learn to hate. They can be taught to love. For love comes more naturally to the human heart.”
Long Walk to Freedom co-stars Naomie Harris, who plays Winnie Mandela. It’s scheduled to hit theaters on January 3rd. Check out the trailer above.
