Michelle Obama’s been hitting the road hard these days to promote her Let’s Move campaign. Last week, the First Lady led nearly 6,000 Chicago kids in a massive workout and just recently she participated in a Google+ Hangout with Kelly Ripa and several Let’s Move supporters. Together they discussed a number of strategies to stay healthy.
“I think we should be talking about these issues in terms of health and not in terms of how kids or people look physically, because people can’t help how they look, but we want every American to be healthy,” said Mrs. Obama. She also revealed she never talked about weight with her own kids but simply started making changes at home.
“We made changes that didn’t make them feel badly about themselves. It didn’t even make them feel any ownership over it, because truly at that age kids can’t control what they eat.”
