Black Panther, Fahrenheit 451 and Creed 2 actor nearly broke the internet when he shared the photo on Instagram with an attention-grabbing caption.
As if the sight of his super toned body wasn’t already enough to gets his fans going, in an instant the New Jersey native had seemingly created an all-new career aspiration when he shared this clever caption: “S/O to the baby oil lady! She did her thang on this one. Honored to grace the cover of @essence for the 2nd time this year. Issue hits stands 5/25.”
Women everywhere wanted to know one thing, and one thing only: Where do they apply?
Yup, those “baby oil lady” applications came flooding in on social media, but left us wondering, where should we forward them? Jordan spoke candidly with the hosts of ESSENCE’s Yes, Girl! podcast, editors Charli Penn, Cori Murray and Yolanda Sangweni, during a surprise live taping at ESSENCE Fest 2018.
First, he explained how the sexy caption came to be.
“Sometimes, they send you the cover and the preferred caption and it’s like, that doesn’t even sound like me,” said Jordan. “So you gotta kinda change it up a little bit. I wanted to do something a little fun.”
And, oh what fun it was watching women all over the internet lose their minds and wonder what might happen the next time the sultry star was in need of someone to oil those abs.
“My next shirtless cover shoot, I’ll probably put out a little competition, why not, on the internet for a fan. I’ll probably do that.”
