Marlo Hampton is grieving the loss of her little brother Curtis, who passed away last Sunday after suffering a traumatic brain injury.
Before his passing, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star initially revealed that her brother had been injured on Instagram in a lengthy caption.
“Please pray for my baby brother Curtis, he’s suffered a traumatic brain injury and the doctors are doing everything they can for him,” she wrote in the caption.”
“Curtis, lil bro, I love you so much, since the day you were born you’ve been so special to me, life’s trials and tribulations caused us to drift apart from time to time, I tried my best to protect you and help/give/teach some of the things we missed out on during our childhood, still we share so many good memories and unconditional love for one another,” she continued.
Hampton also expressed hope that her brother would somehow regain control over his body despite the odds.
“Right now, I am praying to God for a miracle over your body, keep fighting, no doctor, only the Lord has the final say,” Hampton added.
Later, Hampton would reveal to her fans that her brother Curtis had passed away last Sunday.
“Yesterday at 6:04 a.m., God decided he wanted my lil brother home with him,” she said, describing the everlasting bond between the two siblings who supported and loved on each other throughout a strenuous childhood.
“Curtis I [love] you more than words could ever say, we shared a bond that cannot be explained. Don’t worry about me, your big sis is going to turn up Memphis style for you ‘Mannnnn.’ I’m going to listen to T-Pain, Goodie Mob, DMX, 8Ball [and] MJG and drink an Olde English 800 Curtis style, even though you know I don’t like beer! I just want to feel close to you,” she wrote.
She even asked her brother to save her a place at his side in the afterlife.
“Save me a blinged out bed, pillow, cloud or something next to you in heaven Curtis. I will miss you so so much,” Hampton added.
Many of her fellow Real Housewives of Atlanta stars including Kandi Burruss, Shamari DeVoe, Cynthia Bailey, Tanya Sam, and Gregg Leakes expressed their condolences and offered emotional support in the comments of her posts.
Our prayers are with Hampton and her family at this difficult time.
