Lizzo is throwing her hat in the ring to play Ursula in Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of the Little Mermaid.
On Friday, Variety reported that actress Melissa McCarthy is in “early talks” to join the project as the tentacled villain from the original 1989 movie.
But fans on Twitter immediately put up the “Truth Hurts” singer as the perfect person for the role.
Lizzo agreed. She even shared a 2018 video of herself dressed up as Ursula, and singing a rendition of “Poor Unfortunate Souls” from the movie.
“I’M URSULA. PERIOD,” she wrote alongside the video.
