By popular demand, Janet Jackson has announced a second leg of North American concerts for her “State of the World” Tour.

The newly-extended tour will kick off on July 11 in Austin, Texas, and make 11 stops in cities such as Cincinnati, Virginia Beach, Charlotte, Miami, and more. The iconic entertainer and 2018 ESSENCE festival headliner will close out the run on August 7 in Tampa, Florida.

The State of the World Tour was originally launched in 2015 as the “Unbreakable Tour” in support of Jackson’s eleventh studio album, Unbreakable. The “No Sleeep” singer had to postpone the tour due to surgery and again in 2016 after getting pregnant with her first child, Eissa.

“I deduced to change the name of the tour,” Jackson said in a statement in 2015. “It’s not about politics. It’s about people, the world, relationships and just love.”
