We finally get some insight into why Christina betrayed Tom and ignored her daughter’s cries for help when we see her attend a therapy session in which she spills all her emotional beans. Turns out she blames Tom for not walking her to the car the night she was attacked and lost their baby, but loves Nick because he found and murdered her assailant. Really, Christina? Her husband showed up as fast as humanly possible and operated on her to save her life. Isn’t that enough? Christina admits to not wanting to help Camille because she felt her own problems were too great.
Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Bobbi has been appointed to a new board of administrative leaders that will help oversee the hospital remodeling and Tom has agreed to stay on as head of surgery — if he gets what he wants when he wants it. Did you see any compromise in his big announcement? We didn’t, but anyway, we digress. Camille asks Tom why he and Christina have split. He refuses to discuss what happened, but promises to be in her life no matter what, for as long as she wants him to be. Aww, we love how seriously he takes his stepdad duties. Especially in light of what’s happened.
